Quebec

Sometimes it's hard to tell who is stalking whom. After spotting a blur of grey against the clean white backdrop while hiking in Quebec, I moved closer to see if I could bring this socially-distanced hunter within range of my lens. As she moved further off, I decided the drifts were too deep for my snowshoes, with little chance of a good shot. I turned  and headed back to the trail. After about 15 minutes the trail looped back on itself, and I came within a few hundred feet of this beautiful grey...who of course pretended she wasn't interested in me, just out for a winter stroll.
