Most photographers spend the majority of their time trying to manipulate light & movement...either freezing motion for a single moment in time, or endeavoring to highlight movement with a a single frame or solitary exposure.
This image defines all that photography is to me: the continuous challenge of adjusting for changing light and constant movement, the capture of a split-second in time as lightning strikes Earth and clouds rush across the sky while the almost-buttery-smooth water appears frozen for that single moment. An image four years in the making.
Available as a signed and numbered aluminum print (deluxe edition of 50).
